Mark Lichtenstein

President

My father, Jack Lichtenstein, started Industrial Paper Corporation in 1950. The name changed to Industrial Packaging Corporation in 1998. In 1964, I came to IPC after graduating from Tulane University. I worked inside the company while obtaining my master’s degree from Georgia State University in 1966. After that, I became a full time commissioned outside salesperson. I love calling on customers, meeting new people, building lasting relationships and learning about so many diverse businesses. Even today, I still enjoy meeting with customers and get a thrill when we help a customer resulting in their business growing.

After many years in the field, I came back to the inside of our company when my Dad became ill. We started out in a 6000 sq. ft. warehouse and now we operate out of two warehouses totaling more than 120,000 sq. ft. In June 2014, I’ll celebrate 50 years with IPC. “I look forward to meeting you and hearing how we can help your business grow.”

Dave Lewis

Executive Vice President

Dave began his sales career  in 1988 with a small plastic engineering company in Chicago called Engineered Plastics. There he spent eight years as an outside sales representative for a specialty tape manufacturer Permacel covering Illinois and Indiana. He went on to serve as a Supply Systems Segment Manager for Unisource managing the sales forces in Decatur and Peoria Illinois in the mid 1990’s. In 1997, Dave was hired by Industrial Packaging as a product manager for tape and interior cushioning products. Dave took on sales management responsibilities at IPC in 1999 and was named Director of Sales in 2001. In 2011, Dave was appointed the title of Executive Vice President for our company.

Dave is a graduate of Loyola University of Chicago with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications with a minor in Criminal Justice. His original aspirations were to be become a journalist. Over time his interest moved to business so his concentration in his degree was in business and professional speaking.

Dave is still an avid fan of all Chicago professional sports teams especially the Chicago Bears. 

Allen Defnall

Vice President of Operations

Since 1988, Allen grew up through the ranks at IPC. “Having this experience, I have always had a good feel for the organization and how it works. I take pride in doing my job and feel that the family environment we have at IPC carries over to our customers. Our customer base is an extension of our internal family and everyone cares about and wants to take care of our customers.”

Allen served in the United States Navy for 6 years traveling the world including a tour in the Persian Gulf. He also holds a degree from the University of Alabama.

Glenn Yesner

Chief Financial Officer

Glenn joined Industrial Packaging Corporation in 1998.  He thoroughly enjoys the family-like atmosphere and is proud of the customer-first, solutions-oriented “energy” that is pervasive throughout IPC.  He and his staff are always looking for ways to efficiently serve our customers, including researching and communicating tax incentives, best practices and other cost savings that may be beneficial to our customers. Glenn also provides first aid and CPR instruction to many of our customers as a value-added service that is unique to IPC.

Glenn began his career in 1980 as a certified public accountant with Price Waterhouse and rapidly progressed to a senior manager position.  After eight years in public accounting, Glenn moved to private industry and has held senior management and executive positions with four companies for the past 23+ years, ranging from publicly-held multi-national corporations to smaller privately-held companies.  He has significant experience in finance, accounting, human resources, risk management, and administration in distribution, manufacturing, financial services, and other industry segments.

Glenn is a native of Miami and graduated from the University of South Carolina in 1980 with a Bachelor of Science Degree with a major in Accounting.
